Miscreants vandalise Laban transformer

Residents were at a loss due to the power outage.

Shillong:

Residents of Laban were left without any electricity even past the scheduled time for load-shedding. Power was finally restored at around 4 pm.

It was later found that thieves vandalised a 500KV transformer near the Laban Bengalee Boys HS School where they stole copper wires and plates, fuses— all critical for the smooth distribution of power.
