Transformer Rise of the Beasts rent online release date latest
Optimus Prime and the Autobots are back on the big screen, so here's our look ahead at the Transformers Rise of the Beasts rent online release. It's the 7th film in the series, but it's actually set between the events of Bumblebee and the 2007 Transformers movie, so it's sort of a second prequel to the series.
If you’re still struggling to get the story timeline straight in your head, Rise of the Beasts is essentially set before Transformers and sees the Autobots working with the Maximals to stop the world eating god-bot that is Unicron. It's in the 2007 film that they then get into the whole Autobot vs Decepticons battle for the Allspark.
It's part of a new set of prequel films that started with Bumblebee back in 2018. With such a successful franchise there's bound to be a whole lot more from the series still to come. This should include both prequels and sequels to Transformers The Last Knight, so we’ll keep you updated here at Tuppence Magazine.
This time around the film is directed by Stephen Caple Jr., who's last credit was at the helm of Creed II back in 2018. It's only his third film, which is pretty impressive, especially considering the fact that his predecessor on the Transformers franchise was Michael Bay, who was in the director's chair for the first five films.
The details below will start by taking you through the early access rent online release date for Transformers Rise of the Beasts for both the UK and north America territories before we discuss the standard rental. We’ll then follow it up with the latest on potential streaming options for the film in the following years.

There's a lot more discretion when it comes to early access rental for big blockbuster movies like Transformers Rise of the Beasts. However, on average, the norm is still between 45 and 60 days after the big screen release date, so we should be looking at late July or August.
However, when films have a really strong run at the box office there's a chance that this can be later still. There are plenty more big films out in the coming months, though, with The Flash and Asteroid City up next on June 16th, followed by Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny towards the end of the month.
As a result, it will probably get crowded out later in summer, so we’re not expecting it to be later than August at this stage for both the UK and north America. It certainly shouldn't be another Avatar 2, which skipped early access rental altogether.
We’ll keep you posted on how things go for Transformers Rise of the Beasts at the box office and how this might impact things for home media. When it goes on to get its early access rent online release date, you should be able to watch it on Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, the Microsoft Store and iTunes.
The standard rent online release date for Transformers will be a fair amount later than early access and after it comes out on DVD, Blu-ray and digital purchase. A good projection would be late October 2023 in the UK, with the winter half-term being a target.
If you’re based in the US then you should get it a little earlier than in the UK, so this could be September. However, a more likely date is early October as this will still tie in with the mid-term holiday, which is similar in North America.
As with early access, the rent online release will be dependent on the success of the film at the box office. Reviews have been a little mixed overall, but it's a solid entry in the franchise and could inspire a lot of ticket sales over the summer months.
If that's the case then you might want to add on a little time before it's available to rent online. The previous film in the series was Bumblebee way back in 2018, so it's not recent enough to use as a benchmark, so our best estimate is still October with a gap of a few weeks between the US and UK release.
The biggest downside to renting a film is that you don't get the special features and bonus extras to watch. That will more than likely be the case with Transformers Rise of the Beasts, so if this is important to you then you might want to buy the film on Blu-ray, 4K or digital.
If you look at Bumblebee it was pretty light on bonus extras, but or The Last Knight had over 90-minutes of special features. As soon as we get the details, we’ll update things here to help you make a decision on whether to buy the film or to rent it.
As mentioned above, the main retailers will be Amazon, iTunes, Google Play and the Microsoft store to watch it online for both early access and standard rental. If you’re you’re in for the long haul and waiting for when it will be available to stream, you’re probably years away.
As it's Paramount distribution, Transformers Rise of the Beasts will probably be available on the Paramount+ streaming service at some point in the future. It probably won't be this year, though, but we’ll keep you posted on any updates we come across.
This means that it's unlikely to come out on Netflix or Disney+. It's a similar story for Amazon Prime, but you can add the Paramount+ subscription to your account for an additional fee, so it's a sort of.
The simple answer is that it's very unlikely that Transformers Rise of the Beasts will be available on Hulu. The Paramount setup is probably going to be the exclusive in this situation and with the ability to add the subscription to Amazon Prime it looks like it might be here to stay.
It’ll be interesting to see whether or not one of the other big streaming services like Prime or Netflix try to buy or merge with movie distributors like Paramount. Hulu is linked to Disney as the main owner alongside UniversalNBC, so unless the Mouse House go in for Paramount we probably won't see any of the Transformers movies on the platform.
