With the growing urgency to speed up the expansion of the electricity grid, the realisation has dawned that acceleration is necessary. This requires a different way of working: more efficient and smarter. Modular Construction is one of the solutions.

The programme focuses specifically on the construction of 380 kV substations and high-voltage pylons for the 380 kV connections. Using standard designs and fixed modules not only provides technical clarity, but also offers advantages for procurement processes, plot acquisition and environmental talks. Moreover, repetitive work is avoided, creating space for more challenging and interesting work.

Large Projects Netherlands at TenneT enables modular construction of the new 380 kV substations and high-voltage pylons.
