ROLAND, Okla. — Roland Public Schools were placed on lockdown after a "loud boom" was heard nearby.

Sheriff Larry Lane with the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office confirmed to 5NEWS that the sound was from a blown transformer.

This comes after the FBI took over an investigation regarding recent school bomb threats, raising concerns throughout the community.
