Hind Rectifiers (HIRECT) is a pioneer in bringing power electronic technology to India. It has established itself in manufacturing superior electrical products coupled with unparalleled after-sales service that fosters loyal and satisfied customers in India, Asia-Pacific and beyond.

Backed by six decades of experience, HIRECT remains focused on technology and innovation as it develops a range of new products and technologies. For the industrial sector, its offering covers high-current rectifiers of up to 60 Kilo-Amps direct current, used in electroplating, hydrogenation, chlorination, and smelting applications; and high-voltage transformer rectifier sets, up to 200 kilovolts, for electrostatic precipitators (ESP) in thermal-power, steel, cement and chemical plants.

"We have several technology partners worldwide, but we have also built our research and development (R&D) team comprising 110 proficient electrical, mechanical, software and power electronics engineers who develop high-end, technical products completely in-house," said Suramya Nevatia, CEO and managing director.

Expanding its export volumes in Southeast Asia, HIRECT has a pipeline of more than 50 development products in design and engineering for the industrial and railway segments. These include high-frequency power supply for ESP, switched-mode power supply for electroplating rectifiers, and 6,000 kVA insulated-gate bipolar transistor-based traction propulsion system for a 6,000-horsepower electric locomotive deployed in Indian Railways. HIRECT is also exploring upcoming technologies in urban transportation, electric mobility, energy storage and the hydrogen economy.

The company targets to achieve a 25 per cent compound annual growth rate in the coming years. It is listed on India's stock exchanges and spends about 5 per cent of its turnover on R&D. HIRECT also continues to explore trade and technology collaborations with contractors and original equipment manufacturers in the region.

"Innovation is at our core. We are continuously investing in upgrading our facilities, and are building our fourth state-of-the-art manufacturing facility spanning 26,930 square metres," Nevatia said. "We are open to proposals from institutional investors, especially those who bring synergy to our business."
