All power outages restored after transformer fire in Boone | Local News | wataugademocrat.com

Outages in Boone due to a transformer fire.

BOONE — A transformer fire on Hwy 105 in Boone caused local power outages Wednesday morning.

According to New River Light and Power, power was disconnected to a significant portion of its service area around 9 a.m. for safety while emergency services personnel work on the scene.
